Temp's bags: From Seoul to Paris – Sustainable and committed leather goods

During their debut at Who’s Next, the South Korean brand Temp’s, led by Joanne Jeon Eun-jung, captured attention with its deep commitment to sustainability, combined with a modern and conceptual approach to design.

Founded in 2018 and a member of the Seoul Leather Coop, an artisanal cooperative specialising in leather goods, Temp's reimagines the concept of bags by integrating ecological values. "We are thrilled to be here in Paris for the first time. This allows us to showcase our sustainable products and share our values with European buyers and customers," Joanne explains.

A collection focused on sustainability

For this edition, Temp’s prepared a special collection entirely made from eco-friendly and sustainable materials. The standout piece of the collection is the Signature Layered Bag, a 100% sustainable bag inspired by time, flowers, and temperature. "Every aspect of our creative process, from material selection to production, reflects our commitment to the environment. Since 2022, sustainability has been at the heart of the brand’s identity," Joanne notes. In collaboration with the Keia collective, which supports brands working on upcycling and recycling projects, Temp’s strives to breathe new life into materials while offering elegant and innovative designs.

New opportunities at IMPACT and NEONYT Paris alongside Who’s Next

Joanne also expresses her enthusiasm about the opportunity to participate in a show like Who’s Next, where the diversity of exhibitors sparks new collaborations. "We are based in the Gangdong district of Seoul, a historic centre for bag manufacturing. With competition from countries like China and Vietnam, we decided to revitalise this local industry." In addition to collaborating with local leather artisans, Temp’s is actively involved with disadvantaged communities, creating bags from recycled materials such as denim.

The goal of this participation at Who’s Next is clear: to showcase the brand’s technical expertise while presenting minimalist and modular designs, tailored to appeal to the European market. "Paris is a city where minimalism and sophisticated design coexist, a blend that perfectly reflects our aesthetic," Joanne highlights. By adapting their collections to Parisian fashion, including touches of embroidery and brighter colours, Temp’s hopes to attract new international buyers.

This first participation of Temp’s at Who’s Next allowed the brand to highlight its unique, social, and sustainable approach while exploring new opportunities for global collaborations in a dynamic of advanced global development.
