3 questions to Alexandra Bordin, Sofitel boutique manager

Special boutique, special offer : a hotel buyer’s perspective.

How to adapt a retail offer to a hotel customer base ? By keeping your eyes as open as those of a vacationer – that’s what Alexandra Bordin does every day. She’s in charge of the Sofitel boutique overlooking the Quiberon peninsula, right by the sea, in the heart of France’s Brittany. A very specific way of buying, for an area as coveted by local as it is by British tourists.

In store, you’ll find a concept-store offer where beach wear, accessories and ready-to-wear meet. Pragmatic pieces, for swimmers and for those who enjoy Brittany’s fluctuant climate, are mixed with cozy, comfortable styles for thalassa, and with colorful fashion touches. A made-in-Who’s Next offer that Alexandra has composed for over a decade. In three questions, she shares her advice and her favorites from this latest edition.

Tell us about your relationship with Who’s Next.

I've been in charge of the shop for 16 years and I've never missed a single edition, winter or summer. I don't visit any other ready-to-wear trade show, as Who's Next is the ideal place to meet my suppliers, discover new ones and adjust my budgets according to offers.

Any advice on how to navigate on site ?

To make sure that I don't miss anything, I go through every aisle, one by one, in alphabetical order.

Quel est votre découverte de la saison ?

J’ai eu un coup de cœur pour la marque de ponchos de pluie Rainkiss, que j’ai pris plaisir à découvrir dans le sac cadeau VIP. Je vais passer commande !
