Fashion Scene, the rise of young Designers

The Fashion Scene space presents the Young Design Talents of Tomorrow at Who’s Next. As inspired as they are captivating, the young designers are shaking up conventions and unveiling the next trends. Who are they? The WSN x MARANGONI contest winners: Voir(e), Martin Luttecke, Salut Beauté

The designers will be exhibiting at the next two editions of Who’s Next and Premiere Classe in 2020. The winners of the WSN x Marangoni contest organised by Who’s Next will be integrated into Lab.Scene, a brand incubator for the young designer generation, over the course of a year. They will benefit from support which will help them to develop their brand strategy and business development as well as: Masterclasses, meetings with Fashion experts and support tools from the Fashion school.

Voir(e)A creative ready-to-wear atelier as well as the 2019 winner of the Maisons de Mode x WSN contest, they offer a timeless mixed wardrobe which combines materials, to create unique pieces. They create one collection per year which is simultaneously inspired by know-how, craftsmanship, traditions, literature, art, music and travel. The two designers work locally with ateliers located in the North of France.Atelier VoireMartin LutteckeA Chilean designer based in Santiago, designing and manufacturing his collections in Chile. His retro-futuristic universe combines experimental model making, geometric volumes and a contrast between classic and modern, in terms of fabrics and silhouettes. It is a transgender brand where technique is prominent. His first collection “Pensamientos Violentos” gained interest from the International press: Hunger Magazine, Vogue Latin America, I-D Latin America.Martin LutteckeSalut BeautéTwo French women collaborated to launch the perfect “uniform”, to be worn on a daily basis which is unique in style. Inspired by iconic uniform designs, they have created strong pieces. Upcycling is in the spotlight thanks to pieces made from scraps of fabric from big Fashion houses. Mixed wool is their material of choice, but quantities are limited and many celebrities have already adopted it, including Angèle.Salut BeautéThe Festival International des Jeunes Créateurs de Mode Dinan 2019 Winner : DamkoDamko was awarded the prize for the men’s collections. Who’s Next supports this innovative, eco-responsible and ever creative Fashion festival.As a young designer, he has developed a real know-how regarding revisited suits and jackets, thanks to the addition of modern and contemporary details. He uses sportswear and urban wardrobe codes. This will be the first time that he is selling his collection to professional buyers.DamkoThe United Fashion x Maisons de Mode contest Winner : Constança EntrudoThe talent accelerator, Maisons de Mode, is a partner of Who’s Next. A graduate from Central Saint Martins in London, she first collaborated with Balmain, Peter Pilotto and Marques’Almeida. In 2017, she launched her brand and participated in Lisbon Fashion Week for two consecutive years. She has been recognised, by Vogue UK, as a promising reference for her handmade fabrics and prints made from durable fibres.Constanca EntrudoThe Grand Prix Master Mercedes-Benz de HEAD Winner : Emma BruschFor a second season, HEAD (the High School of Art and Design) and Who’s Next partnered up and awarded Emma Bruschi for her romantic brand universe. Not only has she worked meticulously with natural materials: wood, wicker, rafia and natural leather, but she has also developed an exceptional know-how, inspired by ancestral creative techniques, with crocheted straw.Emma BruschiJorenz Cartiess, the Korean designer Jorenz Cartiess is a Korean designer who takes inspiration from various universes to create a truly unisex brand. His collections are timeless across all seasons. He does not hesitate to collaborate with eclectic artists to create experimental work. JorenzThe brand, ColoreveBright colours, geometric shapes, Coloreve creates neo-classical ready-to-wear silhouettes. The brand is present on an international scale, including in Istanbul, Galeries Lafayette and Harvey Nichols.ColoreveCOvaultCovault collections bring many inspirations to life with cultic mood and a real desire aiming to be a reasonable high-fashion. The theme of “human life” is expressed in each of its collections, but each time in a different way showing a multitude of lifestyles.CovaultCome and meet the new generation, in Hall 6 of Who’s Next!
