In January 2017, Who’s Next & Premiere Classe
will be exploring the theme #GIRLSQUAD

The generation Z is completely shaking up already established systems: business and distribution, the media, the economy, politics, culture and also fashion.

For the first time trend decipherers, Who’s Next & Premiere Classe have chosen to explore a societal theme and place it at the heart of the trade shows for the January edition.

They are providing a complete decoding of this societal phenomenon through the uprise of the #GIRLSQUAD, the New Girl Power.

Girl gangs, female collectives, new businesswomen and creative female teams... Women are successfully establishing their creative power and seizing control of the cultural, social and business scenes.

Through the prism of the #GIRLSQUAD, the trade shows retain their utmost important values: creativity, commitment, freedom of expression and team spirit. The fashion of tomorrow is revisited by those who are making it: committed, active, united, inspired women who come together in order to better express themselves.

Around this powerful theme, Who’s Next & Premiere Classe are reinventing themselves in order to offer a unique and complete experience, 100% led by girl gangs. With a selection of exclusive brands and pop-up stores, guest influencers, a music programme, a unique scenography... Who’s Next and Premiere Classe are offering a complete and inspired interpretation of this truly urban revolution.

The Trendy and Urban areas of Who’s Next, will be presenting women-led brands such as Pantheone: a Parisian fashion label, a mix of a ready-to-wear line with a creative studio, guided by a team of young, daring women. A #GIRLSQUAD in all its glory, with designers who play with fashion codes.

In the wave of free and authentic girl crews, you will also notice the presence of Blake Seven, Nola Nova, Ninii, Jamais sans rouge à lèvres.

Details about a novel and ambitious partnership with the French department store Citadium will be unveiled by Who’s Next later this week.

The Fame area will exclusively present the new ‘Pièces’ project, developed by Julia Van Hagen* & her team of exceptional women. ‘Pièces’ unites 5 craftswomen who work with ceramics, textiles and are involved in the art industry: Henriette Jansen - ceramicist, Hala Salem - artist, Nomad Design - artisan, Home Decor - specialised in textiles, Capulette and its Venetian slippers, Postfolk and its digitally printed, Greek inspired bath towels. For this occasion, each product will be exhibited with an original and creative scenography thanks to the printed designed theme by the Lebanese artist Hala Salem.
*Julia Van Hagen, fashion and lifestyle consultant. Julia Van Hagen has an innate flair for uniting fashion, art and design. Her passion: discovering and bringing together creators, designers and contemporary art for events and unique projects.

Also exhibiting within Fame, Hôtel Bohême, a gathering of creators.
Led by two thirty year olds, passionate about creations, Hôtel Bohême is a mobile gathering, bringing together creators for fashion, jewellery, accessories, décor, art, children...
Discovery, chilling out and the relationship with the designers will be at the centre of their dedicated area within Fame. Some examples of the exhibiting brands at the trade show are: Britney Pompadour (embroidery), Succulente (plant design) Maillo Design (paper lanterns)...

As for the Premiere Classe trade show, it will welcome the famous fashion Dress Code Festival, via a selection of accessory, ready-to-wear and lifestyle brands (RA+RE, Be Parisian, Ypsylone, Ines-Olympe Mercadal and even a beauty offer by Jolimoi...)
Emmanuelle, ex strategy consultant within large communication groups, created the Dress Code Festival in 2014, the number one event for discovering young French designers, from cosmetics to shoes at discounted prices.

Other female collectives presenting at Premiere Classe, the lifestyle pop-up Klin d’Oeil.
At the start of 2016, the two Capman sisters launched the shop and gallery Klin d’Oeil, an original and elegant space, dedicated to young creators. Between art and handicrafts, meet fashion, decoration, stationery, exhibitions, food and music.
At the trade show the Capman sisters will present their favourite pieces from current female French designers from all different backgrounds, such as Dimanche, Tot, Hello Jonésie (embroidery customisation workshop), Mademoiselle Quincampoix and Gambettes Sauvages (glitter makeup workshop) and Atelier Carmin (flower crowns).

Lastly (for now), the entire music programme for the trade show will be brought to you by the famous collective “Les Femmes s’en Mêlent.”
Behind the eponymous festival, the collective “Les Femmes s’en Mêlent” is organising for the occasion of its 20th anniversary, exclusive live sessions for the duration of the Who’s Next & Premiere Classe trade shows.

Join us from January 20 to January 23, 2017 at Paris Porte de Versailles for the Who's Next (Halls 2.2, 4 et 7.1) and Premiere Classe (Hall 3) trade shows.
